BioI'm 28 - that's quite enough to believe the things* around are quite familiar, to call them by their names. Yet...all our lives we learn things, no matter how old we are.
Since I was born (in Kiev) I - like everyone else - have been living in the world of things and senses that find them. Starting from my very first education in primary school I learned to understand things. It awoke my intellectual curiosity.
On graduating from the Technical College of Radioelectronics in 1993 I learned how to create things as a specialist in Computer Production. It inspired me.
Followed by my first business experience as a Technical consultant for ISP Lucky Net Ltd I got a chance to practice how to explain things. It developed my creative abilities.
Then I entered the National Technical University to study things connected with Technologies and Means of Telecommunication. Those broadened my knowledge.
While working as a web developer I learned some convincing and motivational sides of things. That made my experience richer. At the same time designing graphics and interfaces for the web I discovered that things are harmonious.
Having jam as my favorite addition to a good meal encouraged me to appreciate the sweet side of things.
For my favorite extreme hobbies are mountain biking and snowboarding, I learned to explore and feel things around me. To reach things I tried climbing, that is much like my everyday life. Any step of which leads me to unknown things and places according to my will.
Thus, since I came to the Netherlands in 2000 to start the HCI postgraduate programme I have been studying how to improve things, to make them usable, friendly and easy to understand. That is important for me and my future, which is full of an unlimited range of new things to learn on my way up.
